Although the avarage temprature in the last 2 years is rising may be due to gobal warming, In Canakkale, a transition climate of Mediterranean and Black Sea can be seen as dominant. Rain generally fall during winter months. Air and sea temperature reach to its maximum during July and August.

Turkish currency is called YTL (Yeni Turk Lirasi-New Turkish Lira). YTL is freely sold and bought in hotels, banks and Currency Exchange Offices. Furthermore you can change and exchange your currency in PTT offices.
In Canakkale, there are 4 currency exhange offices and several banks. There is one exchange office just after the ferry jetty square, about 40 meters to Anzac Hotel. Furthermore there is a branch office of Garanti Bank and Deniz Bank about 30 meters to Anzac Hotel. Other Banks are located in the historical part of Canakkale, which is 100 meters to Anzac Hotel. There is a cash point (ATM) of Garanti Bank beside of Anzac Hotel. Further cash points are available by the harbour.
